Gum Arabic Kordofan Stone
Gum arabic is a natural resin that is extracted from two species of Acacia from the sub-Saharan region, more specifically from the species Acacia Senegal and Acacia Seyal. It is mainly composed of high molecular weight polysaccharides and their calcium, magnesium and potassium salts which, by hydrolysis, give rise to arabinose, galactose, rhamnose and glucuronic acid.
